EMV · Chip & Contactless

EMV tools that explain themselves.

Decode raw EMV data and actually understand what it means — TVR, TSI, AIP, Terminal Capabilities and more, broken down bit by bit against the EMV specification. No install, no upload: everything runs locally in your browser.

Available tools

We're starting with the tool EMV work leans on most, and adding more from here.

TLV

EMV TLV Parser

Paste raw BER-TLV data (from a card, terminal log, or test tool) and get every tag decoded — name, length, value, and a bit-by-bit breakdown for TVR, TSI, AIP, Terminal Capabilities and CVM Results.

↔

TLV Compare

Paste two BER-TLV samples and see each one fully decoded side by side, plus a clear list of exactly what was added, removed or changed between them.

DEC

EMV Tag Decoder

Pick a tag — TVR, AIP, Terminal Capabilities, CVM List, TTQ, CTQ and 10 more — paste just its value and see it decoded bit by bit.

What this is based on

Tag structure and data formats follow EMV Book 3 (Application Specification), Annex B — Rules for BER-TLV Data Objects. Bit-level breakdowns for TVR, TSI, AIP, Terminal Capabilities and CVM Results follow the same publicly documented EMV tag tables used across the industry. This tool is provided for development, testing and educational use; always verify against the current EMV specification for production or certification work.
